D-Day Coffee Bundle
“Sound off for equipment check”
“One okay, two okay!”
In the early morning hours of June 6th 1944, the C-47 Skytrain “Night Fright pf the 79th Troop Carrier Squadron, dropped US Paratroopers of the 1st Battalion, 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division over Normandy as part of Operation Neptune.
To mark that momentous occasion the Warbird Coffee Company has created a limited edition D-Day Bundle, consisting of their “Night Fright” coffee, a collaboration with the owners and the team behind the aircraft’s restoration, and a 101st Airborne Division coffee that could only be called “Screaming Eagle”, couldn’t it? The “Screaming Eagle” coffee available from the 5th June 2021 will be available until 12th July, to mark the 37 days that the 101st Airborne Division were in Normandy before being withdrawn back to England.
Meticulously researched using original Quartermaster studies made after WWII, “Night Fright” coffee accurately recreates the 60/40 blend of Brazilian Bourbon Santos and Colombian beans that made up over 70% of the coffee sourced by the US Government for its Armed Forces in WWII. If you want to know what the coffee served to the airmen and ground crew of the USAAF tasted like, look no further.
“Screaming Eagle” coffee, like the 101st Airborne Division is a hard hitting dark roast blend with beans from Africa and India. High in caffeine, “Screaming Eagle” coffee will ensure you meet all of your objectives!
Each coffee bundle contains 1 x 500g bag of “Night Fright” coffee and 1 x 250g bag of “Screaming Wagle ” coffee, either in Whole Bean or French Press.
